When and Where Do We Meet?
2021 Dates (week beginning):

 

Block 1: 4th January – 22nd March
Block 2: 5th April – 21st June
Block 3: 5th July – 2oth September
Block 4: 4th October – 13th December

 

Due to the Scottish Government COVID-19 restrictions, the club is currently split into different groups and training in different locations so as to adhere to these regulations. Details on each session and group ability is listed below.

Activities:

 

Monday Session:

Jog Level & Category:  Mixed, all abilities catered for

When we meet: Monday at 19:00
Where we meet: Bank of Scotland Car Park, Bothwell Street, Dunfermline, KY11 3AG

Session Information: Recovery run a steady run promoting recovery, appropriate for participants

Where we meet: Various locations in and around Dunfermline, Posted in advance on Training Calendar
Session Information: Main JSD training session- group training.

Friday Session:

Jog Level & Category: Mixed, all abilities catered for

When we meet: Friday at 19:00
Where we meet: Duloch Leisure Centre Car Park (end nearest the church), Nightingale Place, Dunfermline KY11 8LW

Session Information: A planned run, working on endurance, with distances appropriate for the participants

Sunday Session:

Jog Level & Category: Mixed, all abilities catered for

When we meet: Sunday at 09:00 / 09:30
Where we meet: Various locations in and around Dunfermline, Posted in advance on Training Calendar

Session Information: A planned long run working on stamina, appropriate for all participants

Please see below for a breakdown of our groups: 

Advanced 2- Fast and intense. For those who can run without the need for re-grouping during runs. 
Advance 1- Fast and somewhat intense. For those who do not require re-grouping during runs. Progression from Intermediate 3. 

Intermediate 3- Fast but steady. For those who still require the occasional re-grouping but can manage with little need for regular breaks. 
Intermediate 2- Steady paced running with re-grouping at planned intervals. 
Intermediate 1- Slower but steady paced running with regular re-grouping. Progression from Beginners 3. 

Beginners 3- Steady paced running with regular re-grouping. 
Beginners 2- Feeling more confident about running and doing more running with regular walking breaks. Also suitable for returning from injury. 
Beginners 1- New to running/ Returning from injury including those who don’t want to or are unable to run.

Week two and was keen to return as week one I was made to feel welcome and made to feel that no pace was too slow. Very friendly and informal which I like and not left alone!
