Betty joined JSD 3 years ago with a friend, she didn’t have much confidence in jogging but on her first night got a friendly welcome, a lot of encouragement from the JL’s and met new friends.
In Nov 2015 Betty suffered an accident which damaged her knee, she was unable to join in for a couple of months and really missed going along to the JS sessions.
Betty discovered that JSD had introduced a walking group along side the jogging and felt that she could join in to help get fit again. After a couple of months Betty thought that it would be good to give something back to JS and asked if she could possibly go on a course to become a Leader.
In May 2016 Betty went on the Course, were 2 trainers Kevin & Jaz encouraged the group to look at what is involved in becoming a Leader. They gave out cards with activities on which to role play and also to look at anything on the card that could be changed in any way.
The whole experience was really worthwhile and rewarding and Betty’s newly gained confidence has given her even more enthusiasm for further involvement with JSD.
